There are no passenger stops on the re-route. There is however one stop in Green River, Wy for the crew change. Conductors and Engineers swap there and return home (Denver or Salt Lake City) on the next train. On days the train is NOT being re-routed, then the crew flys in from Grand Jct (or back to Grand Jct)...
The smokers do get a chance to take a break in Green River...
