Check out www.orhf.org and take a peek at the newsletters for the latest. The steam locomotives at the Roundhouse have less than a year left, and there are no plans to preserve the Brooklyn Roundhouse because ORHF is focused on building a new home for the three steam locomotives before they are to be evicted next January.

If anyone wants to step up and tackle preserving the Brooklyn Roundhouse, have right at it. Just know that, for starters, it'll cost $315,000 to have the structure cleaned of toxic compounds. Then you've got to worry about dismantling, transporting and storing it. That project is simply not ORHF's top priority or within budget.

The good news is that ORHF plans to relocate the turntable to the new site.
