The landmark Blue Heron Paper Company in downtown Oregon City, OR is going to close after 180 years of industrial history on the site, including a sawmill founded by "the Father of Oregon", John McLoughlin.
This will affect the UP's Oregon City Switcher, which operates with typically two SW-1500s needed to switch the mill trackage which has a lead one block into downtown and is a former Portland Traction Company line.

Already, the redevelopers are talking about tearing it down for more condos and retail "mixed-use" development...I'm sure a Streetcar is not too far in the future...but Union Pacific's ex-SP SW-1500s won't be for long.
