Meeting: "Northwest Railfans Group"

"Everyone is familiar with PNW rail historian and author “Warren Wing”. Warren was a sergeant on troop trains during WW II and after the War, he continued taking photos and writing rail-oriented books.

Warren's interests in trains continued long after the war. He founded the “Northwest Railfans Group in Seattle, WA many years ago as an outlet for fans to meet and share their knowledge and have their business meetings include a film or slide program after the meeting, as a source of entertainment.”

"The railroad club met at Union Station in Seattle, in the old Milwaukee RR Ladies Room which still had that name labeled over the door in gold. A 1968 earthquake literally shook the group out of its meeting place.

Today, the group meets regularly each month in the large lecture hall, Room 1141, at the North Seatle Community College on ”College Way” just North of 92nd Avenue, near Wallingford. The hall is spacious and has tiered seating and can hold a large audience.
This coming Friday evening, March 4th is the next meeting of the “Northwest Railfans Group”, from 7:00pm to 10:00 pm.. Parking is free and the Public is invited…
Friday night’s featured show is a special two-hour extravaganza entitled :
“The Films of Warren Wing” … … This promises to be good. Hope to see you there !
