This interesting image of Pacific Lumber Co. 3T Climax 33 was taken by the late Bill Pennington. A number of his negatives have surfaced after many years, most of them are of logging outfits. Although the front headlight is missing, the 80 ton Climax is still in service on this October 12, 1945 day. Location is Jordan Creek, CA and is a few miles East of Alton up near Scotia.
I met Bill in May of 1970 at Portola and got to ride a switch engine with him for a couple of hours.
