Tom,

One of my best steam experiences ever was with the 6! I have always been an early riser, so for the Santa train, I was chosen as hostler.

I got up around 3AM and started the fire in 6 and spent several hours bringing her to life. With snow on the ground, surrounded by other locomotives (there must have been at least 6 or 8 in view from the cab), it was magical. Seems like it was around 9:30 or 10 before we moved her down to her train, so I had her all to myself for several hours.
