Steam Special to San Bernardino RR Days

A special steam train is to be operated for the San Bernardino Railroad Days celebration, which is being jointly sponsored by San Bernardino History & RR Museum, the City of San Bernardino, the BNSF Ry, the San Bernardino Visitors & Convention Bureau, Metrolink and Amtrak. The San Bernardino History & RR Museum's Board of Directors have taken the lead on arranging for, and operating the special steam train, having chartered former Santa Fe steam locomotive 3751. Metrolink and Amtrak have agreed to operate the special steam train to San Bernardino Railroad Days, from Los Angeles to San Bernardino on April 16th, returning April 17th, over the Metrolink San Gabriel Subdivision. The train will be on display during San Bernardino Railroad Days at the Santa Fe San Bernardino Depot, at 1170 W. Third Street, San Bernardino.

The schedule for the steam special, which has been confirmed by Metrolink, will be:

Dpt LAX 1000am on Sat April 16th. Arr SNB 1145am.
Dpt SNB 300pm on Sun April 17th. Arr LAX 445pm.
Times were based on figures provided by Metrolink, which includes planned meets with Metrolink commuter trains on the Metrolink San Bernardino Line, ( San Gabriel Subdivision.) The train will be on display at San Bernardino on April 16th and 17th at the historic Santa Fe San Bernardino Depot. ADMISSION TO RAILROAD DAYS IS FREE!!!!!!!
