Model Train and Museum Show This Weekend

The South Bay Historical Railroad Society will host its Spring 2011 Train Show and Open House at the historic Santa Clara Depot on Saturday and Sunday, April 9th and 10th. Hours are 10 am to 5 pm each day. The depot is a 1005 Railroad Avenue. The SBHRS website is www.sbhrs.org .

The weekend program includes two operating model railroads (HO and N-scale), as well as artifacts of historical significance for viewing, and a Company Store, at which model railroad equipment, books, VHS and DVD videos, and various railroad memorabilia will be for sale. The museum-quality model train displays are works in progress, but both include newly developed scenes for the public to enjoy. Admission is $5 per adult. Youngsters under 18 are free.
(NOTE: Due to ongoing construction by Caltrain contractors, neither the Santa Clara Tower nor the historic OWRR&N cafe observation car will be open during this show.)
