Crews this morning began closing the BNSF railroad bridge over the Red River in downtown Grand Forks and East Grand Forks. The bridge spans the Red between the Point and Sorlie bridges, which closed Friday and Saturday, respectively.

Crews begin closing the railroad bridge and sealing off the bridge at both ends when the river reaches 47 and is expected to rise at least 50 feet.
