Growing up at a time that EMD and GE were the only locomotive builders (well, Morrison-Knudson kept trying, but not getting very far back then) - I am delighted that we now have such a selection of builders out there for switchers (and passenger units even). Maybe one day, some of them will break into the mainline biz also (yeah, Progressive bought EMD, but that's not what I meant).
So, here's a shot of the Pacific Harbor Line engine facility last month, with two Progressive units, some Motive Power Industry units (MK lives on) and some National Railway Equipment units.

In the past few years, I've also seen Rail Power and Brookville units here. Hey, it ain't like Alco, FM, and Baldwin are back... but variety is still nice.
