Yea -- great stuff !!! I'll bet those GP - 60's really make some of the track creak & pop, as heavy as they are. I LOVE the shot of the autos blowing through the crossing even with the crossing lights flashing; typical LA where everyone is in a hurry !!!
The LAJ is certainly old school railroading; so nice to see in this age of double stacks & unit trains. I bought a 1973 LAJ Directory of Industries list at a local swap meet last year; it reads like a who's - who of American industry before offshore outsourcing became fashionable. My currently under - construction model railroad layout is based on the LAJ, as well as the Espee & Santa Fe trackage that ran between Alameda Ave & the Los Angeles river. Lotsa industrial sidings & diamonds.
