There's a rail radio feed from Klamath Falls that you can listen to, which will give you some idea of what BNSF is coming out of and going into K Falls and then adjust the time and distance difference to get an idea of what might be moving through Bend.

[www.railroadradio.net] then look up the western district options.

There used to be a UP local that came up from The Dalles, did an overnight and then went back the next day. Don't know if that's still running or not.
