There's no mistaking that the power is an MT class. As far the the GS-6 types go, there was
a tie-in with passenger trains heading to Oregon as at any one time back then, a number of
the class were assigned to the Portland and even Shasta Divisions. Their 73" drivers
worked better on the sustained grades than those with 80' drivers.
