That's a neat shot, Sam. Thanks for sharing! I can't speak for that district's tonnage then or today, but the BNSF Valley and Old Arizona divisions seem to be holding their own. We've hired seven or eight classes of Conductors over the past year and a half, and if one stays marked up, you'll make good money. The freight seems to be there!

Also, the BNSF website is constantly advertising for employment postions. I tried to paste the links to several postings, but no luck. Anyway the ones that caught my eye: Track Maintenance Laborer - Los Angeles, and Conductor Trainees at Tulsa,OK, Aderdeen, SD, Vancouver and Longview, WA, Great Falls, Forsyth and Glendive MT, also Signal Apprentice - San Bernardino, and various other crafts and management positions systemwide.

All in all 90 (!) positions! Who says ya can't get a job?!!
