Beautiful picture, and in the most sun we had on that trip. Due to the huge storm the previous night, the trip from Freighthouse Square to (almost) Eatonville was probably the most interesting fan trip I've been on. Not only trees down across the track, as well as the mudslide that required a "rescue by bus" from a remote country road grade crossing, but it's the first time I've been on any train that had to run through water over the ties, and for quite a distance. At least it wasn't over the rails.

My wife only griped a little about us getting back home so late. Great trip...unexpected adventure. The Mt.Rainier crew did a fine job with everything and No. 70 ran like a brand-new locomotive.
