Strange to think I once lived just a few miles from there. I've seen quite a few photos of L&HR jobs further north at the Franklin zinc mine, but I believe this is the first shot I've ever seen of L&HR power at Limecrest. More than a few times, between 1989 and 1995, I shot NYS&W power at this same spot when they were loading up stone trains to drag east over Sparta Mountain. Most of the time it was GP18s and/or SD45s. But the first time I shot a local at Limecrest, the power was a D&H Alco in Guilford colors, with a small D&H emblem stenciled on the side. Thanks for sharing that fine photo!
