Twilight for the caboose, Sept. 1986

Late on a September afternoon in 1986, one of the 7300 series rebuilt SD40's give a boost to an Eastward freight at American (or Rocky Point or Casa Loma etc). The days of the caboose on the SP are numbered as well as those of the manned helpers.
