Yes. You are correct about that. I just read that the truck driver was traveling with two other trucks, that were following the truck that hit the train. The article stated before impact with the train the driver applied brakes and skidded 300 feet! I don't know what the topography is at the scene. But if the truck left 300 feet of skids prior to impact, that calculates to a 'slide to stop speed' (on a level surface)of 67 MPH. Of course that does not take into consideration the speed at impact! One passenger on the train described the truck stuck to the side of the train like a bug on a windshield!
Obviously, the other two drivers got their rigs stopped.
