Since the ATK engineers in question are deceased and retired, I will tell you that back in 1994 Carl and I had the illegal opportunity to ride #11 and #14 in the cab----#11 was the 507 which Carl rode from SLO to SBA and it was later featured on the cover of Trains mag. I rode the 518 from SBA to SLO. What was great fun about these engines was that the ATK engineer hated them because they were apparemtly built as freight engines and for some reason ATK bought them at a fire sale to use in px service. The engineers had named them and written over the windshield of the engimes we rode were "Wallowing Wilma" and "Slow Sally". So the pepsi cans are apparently alive and well. Wonder if the ATK engineers still hate them.
