The crew for the run between Kettle Falls and Chewelah goes on duty at Kettle Falls M-F at 1800. Depending on whether or not they have to dogcatch the Quirk Turn and/or do other work around Kettle, they generally don't head south out of Kettle until 2100 or later these days. They will do local work at Colville and Arden on the way south, if needed, and then interchange with the BNSF at Chewelah before returning to Kettle.

Regarding the San Poil Subdivision to Grand Forks, the abandonment process is still on going. However, there are rumors of some new business developing on the line, so the jury is still out on what the future holds for this line.
