I'm loathe to say anything negative about Warren after his passing as he did a great deal of good in publicizing the history of Northwest railroading. But he did "borrow" a bunch of negatives of my father's of steam from the 40's and 50's for his publications, and my dad never saw the negs again. When asked, Warren denied he ever had them. Anyway, all water under the bridge now, I suppose. Warren was a very creative force for publishing NW rail history, warts and all.
