David Myrick passes

I just now learned that David Myrick recently passed away. Many know him from his written works covering Eastern California & Nevada and also his series on Arizona railroads. He was
a devoted researcher for most of his life.
I believe that he still lived in Santa Barbara.
On a trip to South America in early 1977, I enjoyed his company during our meals together. He could converse about nearly anything.
Nice guy and I'd say he lived his life well.
