Would be cool to get a WP SW1500 on the property at Portola(at one of the last Blackmon auctions, where the SD40T-2 was the main item on the block, one or two of those got donated, so who knows). As far as GP30 UP#849 goes, it was actually restored to full operating condition in 2006(including a repainted cab!), seeing service on the summer caboose trains, as well as rentals. But then a leak was discovered around the fuel tank area and it was taken back out of service. A problem turbocharger(spitting oil out of the stack) has also dogged this unit. Too bad, also one of my favorite engines on the roster. Don't know where it's final destination will be though.
