The Kettle Falls International Railway's Waneta/Columbia Gardens (British Columbia) Job runs from Kettle Falls, WA along the 150 mile long Roosevelt Lake (formed by the Grand Coulee Dam on the Columbia River) and into Canada (a 48 mile run). It was called a about 7:00 a.m., made up it's train, headed north about 8:00 a.m., and crossed into Canada about noon. The picture was taken in northeast Washington State a couple of miles from the Canadian border and just north of the lake, so that is the river down there. And yes it was raining, but was October 25 (2010) in the Pacific Northwest. The locomotives were GMTX 3002(GP40-2), OMLX 2250(GP35), and HLCX 4205(GP40) with maybe 40 cars.
