SP's Lenzen St. Engine Terminal in San Jose

Early April 1985, time had just about run out for the SP locomotives working the Peninsula commute jobs. CalTrain's new equipment would soon displace almost everything with Japanese cars and EMD F40's.

On this day, SP 4450 and 4451 (aka "Huff and Puff) had just returned to Lenzen along with GP9 #3187 in the proposed new paint scheme for Cal Train. Fortunatly, it was never used except on three gallery cars and #3187.
