Too bad the "Trains" PTC article was nothing but a fluff piece, full of holes and outright fabrications - especially about the Acela control system.

Moreover, it flatly contradicts earlier "Trains" articles about the Acela train controls; and completely ignores Amtrak's already operating GPS based "ITCS" system (the first GPS based system in revenue service).

But since that system was installed by another vendor. It thus appears the article was probably hand written by Wabtec's own PR department! Shame on "Trains" for just taking their word for it. They could have at least checked their own archives!

Like most media nowadays, all we seem to get from "Trains" anymore is more and more happy juice to swill!
