Watsonville had a place called the Miramar that was on the opposite side of Main Street from the Hotel Resetar and about a half-block west that I didn't think was too bad. Kind of a hold-over from the 1930's. Then there was The Nook, a fast-food joint a couple of blocks up Lake Avenue from Main. Some real interesting characters hung out there - at least the last time I was there in the early mid 70's.

And I remember the Indio Denny's that someone mentioned from when I was on the LA Division in 1971. Is it even still there?
