All reliable references I've seen since about 1980 have called it Berdoo. As George points out, with all the other typos in those lyrics, doesn't surprise me they botched Berdoo too. Last week, our company proofed and printed a certain music magazine from California, and they couldn't even spell Bernardino correctly. It's right there in their own backyard. Took a guy from Idaho (who served his time in SoCal) to point out to them it's not "Bernadino."
