Reply to cold engine. The train when in Tucson was kept hot. They are only laying over one day at least in this region. It would not be practicle to kill the fire for that short of period.
The 1996 looks great. It is really polished The 844 is shiny black but it is showing signs of the long trip especially from the fallout caused by the popoff valve discharge on top of the bouler.
