In addition to the photos, that site is map junkie's dream. Amazing stuff. Check out the "3D GIS" views where they drape an old map over a DEM and the viewer lets you "fly" through. San Francisco view is a 1915 map draped over DEM -- with the original SP main line through the Mission District.
