I know that LA-LA land is the center of the media universe, but the same conditions that caused the Santa Ana's yesterday also shut down FrontRunner service (commuter rail) for part of the route between Salt Lake and Ogden. The Farmington station sustained heavy damage with much of the overhead walkway roof blown away. Service was shut down most of the day before they could get everything cleared. I assume the UP main was also shut down because it parallels the FrontRunner line. One of the gusts up there was clocked at 102mph.
