Rio Grande heritage on the Santa Cruz Local

I was on a artichoke bread run to the Arciangeli Grocery today in Pescadero, California today. I saw a pair of ex-Rio Grande geeps on the Santa Cruz Local in Davenport, California while on my way up the coast. After some lunch at Pescadero beach, we caught up with the 'Cruz again near Wider on its run home. It's amazing how much time you can waste and still catch the train!
