Drive 299 and you'll laugh at the proposal, drive 36 and you'll request the group be declared a
danger to themselves. Maybe a couple bores like the Gothard tunnel through the high points might
make it feasible but the revenue potential is nil. There is no way that Eureka will ever be a port
capable of challenging LA/LB, Oakland or SEA/TAC. And worse, the container traffic mostly likely
in the next ten years will go down, not up as the reworked Panama Canal comes on line. I said it
over on TO about the latest Vegas "scheme", the money is in doing feasibility studies!! Tell'em
yes and sure and run like hell!!
