I haven't seen the Helena-Butte section with my own eyes (looks impressive on the map, though). We did, however, drive I-15 from Great Falls to Helena last winter, and yeah, like you, I found it hard to really eyeball that mothballed GN trackage while keeping the wheels on the highway. Some darn impressive rock canyon scenery in there.
