Look Like Standard MU Couplers

As stated above, they look like couplers used for MUing electric cars (subway, light rail, etc.). The question is if the cars don't meet FRA crash standards for standard railroad equiptment, how will CalTrain transition to them. Standard traction equipment and standard railroad (commuter and freeight) equipment can not be on the same tracks at the same time. That's why on rail transit systems with local freight, the freight runs in the wee hours only.

I'm sure CalTrain has a plan for the transition.
