KTVU did a (IIRC) contemporary one-hour special on the end of WP's California Zephyr, called "Next Train ... None". Only saw it that once, as a teenager, more than 40 years ago, but it made a huge impresion on me.

I recently tried calling KTVU to ask if there were any copies left -- never got a call back. But some research came up with the same story -- all of the old tapes were dumped. And it was well before the days of common VCR recorder availablity.

So ... anyone out there have a copy of this or ARD's interview, that they might be willing to share? (The statute of limitations is long passed, even if it was acquired using what my old-country mother would call "a five-finger" discount!)
