HA!!!!!

I saw a program with a featue on the name of the new trolley on KING5 Seattle (my channel 16). They were interviewing some shopowners annoyed with the loss of business in their stores- across from the construction, and were selling t-shirts that said "ride the S.L.U.T.". With it was a generic picture of a trolly-esque outline. Quite inventive. Even the mayor was trying to explain the difference between a trolly and a streetcar, and in his unsure interpretaion was great. It was like someone trying to talk thier way out of a ticket! He was just soooo sure it was not a trolley, as the acronym would be offensive. (much better to be called "Seattle & Lake Union Streetcar" than Trolley)

With all the "cut and cover" work in Vancouver for the Canada Line of SkyTrain, hope someone can give this thing a little more controversy with a fitting name.

PS: My dad calls the SkyTrain the "Tooterville Trolley".
