Don't underestimate the museum a Carson, I consider it one of the best. They have some beautiful and beautifully maintained equipment.

When I was there several years ago I asked if I could see the cab of the 8 at the head of the train. I was told, "yes, but you will have to stay aboard until after we make our run." I had no problem with that.
