Yakima Valley Transportation Co. 297 Pulled the Train Today
The pictured Orange Empire Railway Museum's Baldwin-Westinghouse electric locomotive built in 1923 was in revenue service today. It was built for the Glendale and Montrose Railway and ran between those two Los Angeles suburbs. It later became a Union Pacific unit and then Yakima Valley Transportation Co. #297 in Washington State. It's been at the Museum for 27 years. For more information on this steeple cab
