METRA vs Pedestrian

METRA/UPRR Commuter West Line (former C&NWRR) is currently shut down due to a pedestrian/train event at the Glen Ellyn station.

I learned about this event by listening to radio chatter as the various freight conductors/engineers passed word of the event from train to train. The conversation was essentially dispatcher/crew wherein dispatcher was telling engine crews to stop and wait for further instructions.

The reaction to the event by the train crews ranged from Gallows Humor to apparent concern.
