Odd trains on BNSF Vancouver B.C. to Everett line

Driving North Wednesday on Interstate 5 to Ferndale, WA., I saw two Southbound general freights this AM. The 1st one was about 1030 AM @ Marysville; I did not see the head end power but the rear DPU was a CP GE Toaster !!! I figured this was the daily S/B VBCEVE freight. Then in Mt. Vernon I saw another S/B freight about 11AM w/ BNSF GE's on the point. Is this TWO sections of the VBCEVE ??? And what about the CP unit ??
