The "Pomona switcher" was still in operation, out of Pomona, in 1972-3. I pretty well know that because I was the Conductor on the night job and it hadn't been moved at that time. As far as the hauler, if one of the hump jobs had a slow night the trainmaster(Pete Baugmhefner) would send one of those crews to deliver the Pomona traffic that had been set out at COI. At that time it was not a regular move, but only if cars came off of the south branches, or a main line crew had set them out at COI.
