Many traffic signals now use LED elements. As well, LED taillights are now the industry standard on highway trucks and trailers, except on ocean container chassis, where being cheap is the rule of the day. This frugality on the part of Steam Ship lines is also the reason why ocean container chassis still use bias - ply, tube - type tires, AKA 'Flintstones '.
