I am positive that UTA owns the UP line from the Salt Lake-Utah County line north (the county line is near the top of Point of the Mountain). I seem to remember that UTA wanted to purchase the line south from the county line to Provo, but I am not sure if that went through. On a historical note, not long after UP #3985 was restored, it was run on a public excursion Salt Lake to Provo and back on that line. Quite a sight seeing the articulation of the locomotive at work on some of those curves.
