The line then curves around the site off the federal prison there.

FCI Sheridan is about 1.8 miles to the southeast - the trestle is located just west of downtown Sheridan (and immediately south of Highway 18 Business)...the tracks run through town, then turn to the SE, crossing Highway 18 (mainline) at grade before skirting around the eastern edge of FCI Sheridan and continuing to Ballston, Broadmead, Winch, and ultimately Whiteson.
