All that has been reported so far is that the planning department has approved their permits. You could always contact North Star Biofuels LLC for an update on their time line to begin operation.

Regarding Sierra Northern leaving, it appears to be a gift that ushered in Iowa Pacific. More important, why do you think Iowa Pacific would be so interested in becoming the operator of the Santa Cruz Branch Line? At the RTC meeting yesterday the Iowa Pacific VP stated they just sold a railroad for $90M that they purchased for $3M. This is obviously a company whose goal is to make money, not lose it.
