Thank you Marty, that confirms my recollection. Neat engine and kind of a mix of old and
new in a main line Mike. Has the shorter Harriman era cylinder stroke, but later got the
improved disc main driver. UP did this a lot with their 2-8-2s as they were frequently
used as helpers on passenger trains. SP never did this to their Mikes, although a large
number of the 2-10-2's received this treatment. Allowed for better counter-balancing and
slightly higher speeds.

Anyway, thanks again. Does my heart good to see that she is not neglected.
