Haven't paid attention to the Plummer Turn in months. Don't know if they're still doing the 8am start or if they've reverted to the old 10am start. From home I do hear them when the come back into town and give up their warrant, and on Sundays (11am-ish) when they talk to Boyer West and Yardley Tower about doing their routine car swap at Erie Street. Speaking of locals and schedules, BNSF CdA Local is now officially a "road switcher" (also been referred to as a "turn" on the radio). Instead of Monday-Saturday, they're now normally Monday-Friday. That Saturday call was usually a run west to Fairchild, followed by a run on the CdA Branch as needed, mostly near the end of the month. Trips on the branch don't always reach CdA these days. Sometimes they turn back at Huetter. We followed them Friday 12/22, handing them a plate of Christmas cookies like we've done for the past 10 years. Ran light engine from Huetter to CdA and picked up only four loads from the BNSF spur at the DeArmond mill. Caboose was sitting alone at Gibbs (former BNSF/UP interchange), so there must not have been any cars being loaded at the mill's ex-UP spur.
