Thank you. It has been a pleasure to share the images with everyone and I have had a grand time taking them.
When Sierra Northern became the operator of Santa Cruz Branch Line 2-1/2 years ago, I decided to document the transition of ownership from Union Pacific to the SCCRTC. I had never photographed trains before and the last 2-1/2 years were a great opportunity to observe a unique operation and meet interesting and talented people. I think I was able to capture every aspect of the operation. I especially enjoyed documenting the washout repair last year, the recent bridge inspections by Patterson & Associates and the rehabilitation of the railroad tunnel under Mission Street in Santa Cruz this past April.
Below are links to three of my threads on West Coast Rail Forums.
The first one covers the arrival of SERA #50 on the Santa Cruz Branch Line and their departure a year later.

The second one covers the complete repair; start to finish, of the washout at Estates Drive in Aptos.
