GN Day in Skykomish 2012

I wanted to remind anyone interested that GN Day in Skykomish, Washington is scheduled for September 8, 2012.
The event starts at the Masonic Hall at 9:30 am and ends about 4:00 pm. Admission is FREE.
During the day there will be informal presentations, tables will be available for people attending to have a display and there will be a silent auction.
People are encouraged to being display items, photo collections and models to show.
A long lunch period is planned with plenty of time to visit. A reasonably priced lunch will be available from one of the local establishments.
The newest Skykomish Historical Society HO model kit, a GN 3-Room Section House will be on display along with the Sky Signal Maintenance Shed and the GN 12 x 34 Portable Depot kits. All kits will be available at discounts for people attending.
We are planning a informal contest called "Date that Photo" where several photos of Sky will be displayed and people will try and establish the date. Prizes will be awarded in several categories. People with photos of Sky may also bring them to see if others can date them.
There will be time to check progress on the rebuilding of the Whistling Post Tavern along Railroad Avenue and the community is also holding one of their annual Saturday markets the same day
At the end of the day we are arranging for a tour the Skykomish Depot that is now back on the south side of the tracks, again 60 feet long and under restoration.
